The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued an official notification instructing Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) to reimburse the fees for students who transferred to different institutions.
The notification was released in response to complaints filed by disgruntled students who had migrated to other institutions and were requesting a refund of the fees they had paid to the institutes. The UGC has received numerous complaints about the non-refund of fees from several Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs).
The notification from the UGC states that they have sent emails and reminders to all Higher Educational Institutions, urging them to address the complaints from students who are seeking a refund of fees after transferring to other institutions. The UGC also reminded the universities that failure to comply with the regulations would result in punitive action as outlined in the applicable guidelines.
