TGCHE Officials Express Gratitude to UGC, BCI, and AICTE for Addressing Key Issues
Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) Chairman Prof. R. Limbadri and Secretary Prof. Sriram Venkatesh expressed their gratitude to University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof. Jagadish Kumar, as well as senior officials from the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), for their constructive responses to the issues presented.
Prof. Limbadri detailed that during their meeting with the UGC Chairman, discussions covered the entire spectrum of the admission process, from DOST to PhD admissions within the state. He also highlighted the ongoing reforms in distance education admissions. Additionally, concerns were raised about the difficulties students faced with admissions to unrecognized universities operating under the guise of open and distance education. Prof. Limbadri noted that the UGC Chairman addressed these concerns attentively and responded positively.
In their interaction with BCI officials, Prof. Limbadri and Prof. Venkatesh reported that the officials agreed to expedite the approval process for several law colleges in Telangana.
