  • 06 Apr 2024

YouTuber-entrepreneur Ankur Warikoo recently shared a glimpse into his academic journey by posting a picture of his CBSE Class 12 board exams marksheet on Instagram.

In his candid message accompanying the post, Warikoo revealed his disappointment upon scoring just 57 out of 100 in his English exam during the CBSE 12th board exams, admitting he “did not expect this disaster.”

Despite grappling with feelings of failure initially, Warikoo emphasized how he defied the odds to become known as a proficient communicator and confident speaker.

“If my marks were a true reflection of my capability, I would be nowhere. So, for anyone feeling like how I felt back then, remember… Your marks do not have the power to define you. Only YOU have that power to define you,” Warikoo shared, drawing from his personal experience of facing setbacks and failures.

Reflecting on the 20th anniversary of receiving his CBSE 12th board results, Warikoo underscored the significance of resilience and self-belief in navigating through adversities. “The fact that you are still here is the biggest gift you have. You have time. You have you. Make the most of it,” he advised, urging others to harness their potential and persevere despite challenges.

Since its posting, Warikoo’s message resonated deeply with numerous social media users, amassing over 80k likes on Instagram. “Marks don’t make up what we are today,” remarked one commenter, echoing the sentiment shared by Warikoo.

By opening up about his own academic struggles, Ankur Warikoo aimed to inspire others to recognize their inherent worth and overcome obstacles they may encounter along their journey.
