In this exclusive interview, we had the privilege of speaking with the accomplished Aishwarya Rao, the Director of Academics and Administration at The Vivekalaya Group of Institutions. In this insightful conversation, Aishwarya Rao graciously takes us through her entrepreneurial journey, sharing the pivotal moments that have shaped her success.

 

What inspired you to venture into the education sector? What is the motivation that fuels your daily routine?

 

Entering the education sector wasn’t a deliberate decision for me; rather, it naturally evolved as I pursued my passions. What began as a journey of exploration became a career path. I’m deeply inspired by the nature of children, their purity, openness and joy. The ability to make a profound impact in shaping young minds and empowering them to realize their full potential drives me in my work.

 

From your perspective, what have been the biggest changes in teaching over the past couple of years?

 

From my perspective as an institute director, the greatest strides in teaching over the past couple of years have revolved around the integration of technology into the classroom, the adoption of more student-centered learning approaches, and an increased emphasis on personalized education tailored to individual student needs. Additionally, there has been a notable shift towards promoting critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and digital literacy to better prepare students for the challenges of the future.

What is your take on the dynamic technology trends in the education sector and how would you describe its interventions in your organization?

 

There have been significant dynamic technology trends in the education sector that have been beneficial. At our organization, we combine in – campus on hand teaching methods and digital interventions to maintain a balanced approach. While technology offers immense opportunities for enhancing learning experiences and expanding access to education, we ensure that it complements rather than replaces existing methods. Our interventions focus on leveraging technology to facilitate personalised learning, foster critical thinking, and enhance student engagement.

 

Entrepreneurship often comes with challenges. What obstacles have you faced as a woman entrepreneur, and how did you overcome them?

 

Women often have greater difficulties in their professions than men. Decisions made within the education sector sometimes are functional in theory and not in practice. They often fail to prioritize the holistic development and well-being of students. Additionally, external environmental factors, such as regional regulations and policies, posed further limitations.

 

Could you please share a significant achievement that you are particularly proud of in your entrepreneurial journey?

 

One significant achievement that I take great pride in during my entrepreneurial journey is the establishment of two ventures: the Premanand Foundation and the Eklavya Trust. Both of these ventures hold a special place in my heart as they are dedicated to making a positive impact in our society. The Premanand Foundation, established in July 2020, focuses on women’s empowerment, education, skill development, and animal welfare. The Eklavya trust is created to support Hinduism and our Rashtra Dharma.

 

What is your message to young entrepreneurs, businessmen and youth?

 

My message to young entrepreneurs, business women, and youth is to maintain unwavering perseverance and determination. Your journey may not always be straightforward, and challenges will inevitably arise. Stay focused on your goals and remain steadfast in your vision. Embrace setbacks as opportunities for growth, and don’t let failures or rejections deter you. Recognize that forging the path of entrepreneurship may require navigating uncharted territory, but believe in your capabilities and resilience. Success is achieved through perseverance, effort, and the ability to bounce back from adversity.
