Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) July 2024: Last date of application extended by CBSE

Great news for aspiring educators aiming to sit for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in July 2024! The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has prolonged the registration deadline for the CTET exam. Now, candidates who haven’t completed their applications yet have the opportunity to apply until April 5 (until 11:59 pm).

 

Applicants can conveniently submit their applications online through the official CTET website at ctet.nic.in. Previously, the deadline for online application submission was April 2. The exam is scheduled to be held on July 7, 2024, in 136 cities nationwide and will be conducted in twenty languages.

 

How to Apply?

Step 1: Visit the official CTET website at ctet.nic.in

Step 2: Click on the link labeled ‘Apply for CTET July 2024’

Step 3: Complete the registration process by providing all necessary details

Step 4: Log in using your registration number and other credentials

Step 5: Fill out the application form

Step 6: Pay the applicable application fee

Step 7: Download and retain a printout of the application form for future reference.

 

Application Fee

General and OBC categories: Rs 1000 for one paper and Rs 1200 for both papers

SC/ST/PwD: Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both papers

 

Exam Pattern

The CTET exam comprises two papers. Paper 1 is designated for candidates aspiring to teach in classes 1 to 5, while Paper 2 is for those aiming to teach in classes 6 to 8.
